1. TCL 49S405 4K Roku Smart TV

TCL 4k smart TVs that offer a little something extra that is good for cord-cutters or those that get most of their TV program via the internet: The Roku operating system is built-in. And is TCL’s S405 Series.

The Roku system offers access to over 4,500 internet streaming channel offerings, including the usual selections, such as Netflix, but also includes additional services, such as SlingTV. Via Ethernet or Wi-Fi, users can access an abundance of online TV, movie, and music streaming content without connection to an external media streaming box, plug-in media streaming Stick, antenna, cable, or satellite service. In addition to Roku and other features, the S405 also delivers good image quality with Direct LED backlighting, HDR, and a 120Hz refresh rate.

2. Samsung QN55Q6F 55″ Smart TV

With picture quality that is unexcelled at this price point, the Samsung QN55Q6F 55-inch QLD 4K UHD 6 Series Smart TV is a must-own. The real highlight is the QLED technology, which establish over a billion shades of “Q” color, heightening color and contrast for a result that’s downright stellar with deeper blacks and colors that pop. Q HDR adds an almost theater-like experience that does even more to enhance the colors on screen.

Beyond its advanced display, the rest of this TV is just as well-designed. The cables have been run through the stand for a cleaner look, resolving the problem of unsightly hanging wires. Q Smart also introduces a nearly-seamless navigation interface for discovering new shows or existing programming. With a large number of included options like Netflix, Hulu, and Prime Video, Samsung’s OneRemote makes program discovery easy. You can also use voice control with Bixby Voice to help flip channels or search for new programs.

3. Sony XBR55A9F 55″ 4K Smart TV

When it comes to buying a premium 4K TV, there’s more to these devices than just picture quality. The Sony XBR55A9F 55-Inch 4K TV not only has excellent picture and sound, but also a wealth of smart features that will give any techie you know. These features include built-in Google Chromecast, Google Assistant on the TV to help you find things, voice controls with Amazon’s Alexa, Sony SideView connectivity.

On the back of the unit, you’ll find four HDMI inputs, three USB ports, and one composite video port, so you can connect all your smart devices. If those features aren’t enough, you’ll also love that the XBR55A9F has incredible sound with Sony’s Acoustic Surface Audio+ technology, which pushes the sound out from the direct center of the screen. While this TV is certainly a splurge, the price tag will be worth it to those who want to future-proof their TVs with all the best features.

4. Samsung Q7C 55″ 4K Smart TV

Curved Screen TVs were getting a lot of hype a few years ago, but consumers haven’t warmed to them as much as was anticipated. However, there is still some demand, and Samsung is happy to oblige, at a high price. One example is their Q7C series. The sets in this series provide the same feature set as the above listed Q7C flatscreen set, including Quantum Dot-supported color display, and HDR10/HDR10+/HDR+ capability with highlight output.

The Q7C series also includes control via Voice Interaction, as well as the ability to send audio to compatible Bluetooth-equipped soundbars and headsets. However, just as with Samsung’s other QLED series TVs, a stand or wall mount is not provided, so add that cost your budget. The Samsung Q7C 4k TVs come in the 55 and 65-inch screen sizes.

5. Samsung Q90R 4k Ultra HD QLED TV

Samsung has clearly taken these censure to heart, and directly addressed them in the Q90. The new model has a visibly high-level viewing angle that holds its own against an OLED TV, and the local dimming delivers deep blacks without losing shadow detail. To that end, the new Ultra Black Elite filter is nothing short of a disclosure, rejecting ambient light in a way that just staggers belief.

It’s not too much of a clear to say that the Samsung Q90 is the most brillant QLED we have reviewed to date, incorporating comprehensive features and cutting-edge picture revolution. As a result, this TV can deliver a performance that is capable of competing with and often great even the best OLEDs.

6. Sony Master Series A9G

The Master Series A9G feature the best 4K Ultra HD OLED screen we’ve ever had the pleasure of reviewing, but it is also decked out with an innovative approach to audio that’s nothing short of impressive. This makes for a different effect of voices and sound effects seemingly coming from their respective locations on the screen (left, right, or center).

The LG Z9 88-inch 8K OLED may be the most great TV I’ve ever reviewed, but the Sony Master Series A9G has the best picture quality you can/should buy this year. Consider this testament to our claim that the A9G delivers the best viewing experience money can buy, with Sony’s fantastic picture processing and impeccable HDR delivery inching it ahead of the strong competition.
